US-MN-Mechanical Engineer

	The candidate should have expertise and experience working in a product development organization specializing in equipment design, application, and operation with excellent written, verbal and presentation skills.
	A degree in mechanical engineering is required. AutoCAD, Pro-E or Solid Works (computer aided design tools) skills required. Knowledge of manufacturing standards with MRP experience to enable co-ordination of engineering with purchasing and others.
	Experience must include five or more years designing complex, single wafer systems involving project planning, design control and customer interface.
	Preferably, specific experience with single wafer cleaning systems is desired as well as experience with modeling software to pre-determine the mechanical design efficacy of the chamber and the rest of the mechanical systems.
	Experience with metals and plastics which are commonly found in state of the art semiconductor equipment is a must.
	Experience in determine reliability of components, materials and designs and applying it to the overall system.

	Excellent written skills to develop proposals, project timelines, cost estimates, and equipment requirements
	Excellent verbal communications skills with external customers and vendors, as well as engineers, sales, management, and all levels internally
	Capable of adjusting communication styles according to various levels of technical aptitude
	Capable of making quick decisions
	Professional presence

	ISO 9001 experience
	Experience with S2 and CE mark qualification procedures
	Experience in other high technology industries.
	Experience in Solar Cell and/or flat panel equipment design

	Develop the mechanical design working with the rest of the engineering team in the US and China to assure that the system will meet the specifications as agreed with our parent team and the collaborative customer.
	Factoring in safety and regulatory requirements to system design and understanding product certification requirements including CE, and SEMI S2 (possible UL)
	Selecting proper materials, components, construction methods, and ensures product compliance with design specifications
	Work with the China engineers to develop the best supply management program for the team to assure reliability of the mechanical design and low cost.
	Assist other engineers (electrical, software/control, systems, process, …) with any recommendations that can help the overall project.
	Evaluating ECR’s and effectively actions and implements ECO’s in a manner concurrent with Engineering and Manufacturing constraints of standard product engineering
	Evaluating customer requirements and system performance specifications with proposal and marketing managers to devise appropriate system designs for quoting
	Providing preliminary and final cost estimates and P&ID’s for Proposals Group with equipment selection and systems design related to project proposals

	Proficient in developing accurate timeline and cost estimates for new bids
	Able to identify, track and communicate the equipment and tools required for each customer project
	Able to effectively present project status outside of the project team
	Demonstrated success on a project team to implement new technologies
	Able to work with customers (internal and external) to identify and document project scope and requirements
	Demonstrated success with project completion and customer satisfaction
	Able to manage multiple tasks associated with various internal and external customer requirements
	Capable of providing excellent technical support to internal personnel and customers
	Capable of identifying and implementing best practices with product development and testing
