Physical Integration Engineer - TX
The Physical Integration Engineer will
technically lead the physical integration team and
interact with internal engineering teams of logic
designers, STA engineers and custom block engineers. In
addition, the engineer will play a key role in producing
an RTL/netlist to GDS flow and delivering high quality
final design database.

Duties & Resp.
 |
Hands-on responsibility from netlist to
GDS delivery |
 |
Floorplan, Place & Route in chip-level
hierarchical layout environment |
 |
Provide technical leadership for
physical integration team |
 |
Support signoff tasks, including full
chip timing closure, power integrity, signal integrity
and layout signoff flow in physical design and layout
team |
 |
Develop physical design/integration
flows for high performance and low-power CPU
development |
 |
Communicate with other internal
engineering teams to discuss the process technology
and design methodology |
Background/Experience
 |
MSEE and 7-10 years relevant experience
required (or equivalent education and experience)
|
 |
7+ years of CPU/ASIC physical
integration experience |
 |
Solid understanding of the CPU
design/integration flow with extensive experience
taping out devices at GDS level |
 |
Experience with 65nm or smaller process
technology |
 |
Extensive hands-on experience with full
chip integration with P&R flows (ICC/Astro/Talus) and
STA tools (Primetime) |
 |
Hands-on experience with clock tree
and/or clock mesh design with OCV methodology; full
chip floorplanning and area optimization; power
planning, signal integrity checks and timing sign-off;
and Perl, TCL, Shell, and other script languages
|
Desired background/experience:
Good understanding of deep submicron
process technology
Good background in I/O and PKG technology
from integration perspective
